Carpenter led Olivet to a runner-up finish at the Delton Kellogg Invitational with a round of 73. The senior then fired a 2-under 34 at The Medalist to give the Panthers their first victory over Kalamazoo Hackett and Kalamazoo Christian since joining the Kalamazoo Valley Association.

Stuchell recorded two hits and a run scored against Colon, and that was just the beginning of a big week at the plate. Hopkins has been a force at the plate for Division 3 fifth-ranked Homer, and Big Eight foe Reading found out the hard way in a four-inning mercy rule contest. In the Trojans’ 15-0 blowout, Hopkins recorded three hits including two home runs and seven RBIs. Earlier in the week, the senior outfielder also picked up a victory on the mound vs. Bellevue.
St. Philip boys’ track & field
In an SCAA Jamboree at Litchfield, Greenman posted personal best in the high jump with a winning leap of 6-feet, 1-inch. The junior was also part of the Tigers’ victorious 3,200 relay, 800 relay and 1,600 relay squads in helping St. Philip finish on top of the four-team field.
