The Kiel baseball team recorded two wins at the Plymouth tournament on Saturday.
Eric Weber did a little bit of everything as the Raiders opened up the day with a 5-1 win over Sheboygan Lutheran/Kohler.
Kiel got the scoring started with a run in the home half of the first courtesy of an RBI groundout from Weber.
In the third inning, Weber made it 2-0 Raiders when he reached on a fielder’s choice, scoring Tanner Woepse.
Three more runs runs in the Kiel half of the sixth put the game on ice.
Weber finished the game with two RBIs. He also picked up the win on the mound, tossing all seven innings and allowing just one unearned run on three hits. He struck out six and walked two.
Jonathan Meyer and Alex Winkel each drove in a run for the Raiders.
Kiel need extra innings to earn the win in Game 2.
The Raiders edged Ozaukee 5-4 in nine innings.
Zach Lensmire scored the game-winning run on a throwing error.
Meyer finished the game 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Trenton Nickel stole three bases.
Nick Walsh went the distance for Kiel (2-1), scattering eight hits across nine innings. He allowed four earned runs and struck out four.
Two Rivers triangular
Valders went 1-1 and host Two Rivers went 0-2 at a triangular.
The Vikings topped the Raiders 3-0 in the opening game.
Cade Fochs went 2-for-4 for Valders.
Adam Taylor’s two hits paced Two Rivers’ offense.
Nathan Grall took the loss, working five innings and allowing one earned run on five hits. He struck out five and walked a pair.
DJ Madson picked up the complete-game, shut out win. He allowed just four hits and fanned seven.
Both Valders and TR fell victim to Slinger.
The Owls tripped up the Vikings by a count of 8-7.
Madson, Trevor Griffin, and Logan Christel each drove in a run for Valders (10-13) who was held to three hits.
Ryan Valleskey was the losing pitcher. He allowed five runs — one earned — on four hits in 5 1⁄3 innings.
Slinger topped Two Rivers 15-1 in five innings.
Nathan Grall drove in a run for the Raiders (0-2).
