The visiting Manitowoc Lutheran baseball team hung up a pair of runs in the fifth inning and held on for an Olympian Conference win over Reedsville by a count of 2-1 on Monday.

Reedsville (5-2, 5-2 OC) plated a run in the sixth, but the Panthers were unable to push across the tying run.

Seth Hillmer went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI for the Lancers (5-4, 2-3 OC).

Trevor Mack finished the game 2-for-3 for Reedsville, while teammate Brandon Thelen had a hit and an RBI.

Kyle Staudt earned the complete game win, racking up 10 strikeouts and walking just one. He allowed one earned run on six hits.

Cody Schamburek took the loss. He pitched five innings, striking out six and walking three, allowing one earned run.

Valders 2, St. Lawrence 1

A stellar pitching performance by Jon Shimon helped the host Vikings to a 2-1 win over St. Lawrence Seminary in a non-conference tilt.

Shimon tossed all seven innings and struck out 10. He did not surrender a walk and held the Hilltoppers to five hits.

Ryan Valleskey, Trevor Griffin, and Mitchell Meyers each had a hit for Valders (4-7).

Wrightstown 6, Man. Lincoln 2

The visiting Tigers got out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back en route to the 6-2, non-conference win.

Devon Seiler went 3-for-4 for the Ships (7-5) and Trevor Terp drove in a run.

Byron Anderson took the loss. He worked three innings and allowed five runs — three earned — on seven hits, striking out three and walking two.

Algoma 6, Mishicot 0

Host Algoma shut out Mishicot 6-0 in a non-conference game.

The Wolves scored four runs in the fourth and tacked on two more in the sixth.

Erik Battin had two of three total hits for Mishicot (0-6).

Kyle Kintopf took the loss. He worked 3 13 innings and allowed four earned runs on seven hits.
