Two Rivers athletic director Matt La Tour announced on Wednesday Kevin Shillcox had been named the permanent head football coach for the Raiders.

Shillcox had been the interim coach following his predecessor Brent Luebke took a teaching and head boys basketball coach position at Northland Pines over the summer.

“Coach Shillcox did a fine job this past season and I am confident in his abilities to lead our football program in the future,” La Tour said of Shillcox via a press release.”

The Raiders went 7-3 overall and 5-2 in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, two games behind conference champion Plymouth, with Shillcox at the helm. Two Rivers’ season ended with a 61-42 loss to Brown Deer in a WIAA State Football Level 1 matchup on Oct. 25.

Two Rivers had the most potent aerial attack in the EWC this past season, with Dexter Smith leading the conference with 2,382 yards through the air. Scott Skornicka also gave the Raiders the EWC’s top rusher with 1,020 yards.
