The Eastern Valley Conference recently released its all-conference gymnastics squad with a pair of gymnasts from both Manitowoc Lincoln and the Valders/Roncalli co-op being honored.

Hailey Szalewski, a junior for the co-op, was named to the second team as was Ships senior Danielle Carle.

Making honorable mention was Lincoln junior Sloan Tackett and Valders/Roncalli freshman Kelly Jacoby.

While nobody from the area qualified for State, all four gymnasts led their respective teams at sectionals.

Carle and Tackett paced the Ships, with Carle finishing 18th in the all around with a score of 31.15 and led Lincoln in three of the four individual events. She was 18th on beam (8.1), 23rd on floor (7.95) and 11th on vault (8.3). Tackett, meanwhile, paced the Ships on bars, finishing 21st (7.075).

For the co-op, Szalewski led Valders/Roncalli in all around with a score of 31.875 good for 11th, floor (ninth, 8.425), vault (12th, 8.375), and uneven bars (7.725). Jacoby rounded things out, taking 16th on balance beam (7.45).
