Collin Peters scored four goals — including the game-winner with about 17 seconds left on the clock — and the Sheboygan Red Raiders hockey team battled to a 5-4 Fox River Classic Conference win at home against Bay Port on Tuesday.
Sheboygan (5-1, 2-1 FRCC) led 4-2 after two periods, but Bay Port scored two goals in 33 seconds to start the final period to tie the game. Both teams fought in a tie until Peters scored on an Ian McKinch assist with seconds ticking off the clock.
“We’re playing well enough to win games, but I think there’s a lot more within us that we haven’t shown yet,” Sheboygan coach Keith Bartholomaus said.
Jeffrey Hicks added another goal for Sheboygan, while Red Raiders goalie Erik Johnson made 35 saves on 39 shots on goal.
