Yorktown scratched out runs in each of the first four innings as they knocked off Anderson 5-1. Katy Johnson hit a home run for the Tigers.
Delta defeated Central 10-0 in five innings as Kelsey Dreher threw a no-hitter. Katie Weaver led the Eagles offense with two hits.
Daleville lost 19-3 in five innings at home against Lapel. Kristen Zimmers had two hits for the Broncos.
Wes-Del clubbed Liberty Christian 21-7 in five innings. Mariah Berry batted 4-for-5, and Maddy Richards and Mariah Spain each had five RBIs. Richards, Spain, Taylor Ward and Myah Swoveland each had two hits, and Richards was the winning pitcher.
Burris defeated Winchester 4-1 as Kalese Thomas won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Ritika Mehta and Courtney Thomas won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Winchester’s Emily White lost 6-0 in the first set at No. 3 singles before rallying 6-3, 6-3 for the victory.
Southside swept Union City 5-0. The Rebels had singles wins by Becca Hollowell, Keely Townsend and Beyza Orazova
. Hollowell and Orazova each won 6-0, 6-0.
New Castle improved to 6-0 by beating Yorktown 149-157 in a battle of two of the top ECI teams. Drew Saunders shot even-par 35 to lead the Trojans, and Ty Flowers had 36. Yorktown was led by Caleb Morey with 37 and Palmer Hill with 38.
Led by Austin Dunham’s 38, Union shot a 188 to beat Delta (210) and Wes-Del (226). Spencer Shore added a 47 for the Rockets (3-2). Josh Moore led Delta with a 50.
Daleville defeated Blue River 203-216. The Broncos’ Zach Sizelove was medalist with 43.
Union County shot 166 and defeated Winchester (172) and Tri (181). The Golden Falcons were led by Brandon Morris with 40.
Winchester and Northeastern each scored 61 points and Union had 34. Winners for the Golden Falcons were Chandler Mick, Alan Brutchen and Randy Beer.
Yorktown swept every first-place spot as it rolled past Cowan 100-17. Jacob Wagner won both hurdles for the Tigers, while teammate Chris Lowry took the 3,200 and 1,600 runs.
Yorktown took first in nearly every event of a 95-27 victory against Cowan. Rachel Ginn won the 100 and both hurdles events for the Tigers.
Wapahani came in at No. 4 in Class 2A in the latest IHSBCA coaches poll, while Daleville received votes in Class A.
