Delta defeated Southside 56-17. The Eagles had two winners by pin in less than a minute: Brock House at 120 pounds and Noah Richardson at 106.
Central beat Blue River 72-12. Dean Prybylla (145) and Darrius Connell (heavyweight) won their matches by pin for the Bearcats (16-12). Emeline Scott (106) and Noah Pope (170) won their matches by pin for the Vikings.
Wes-Del senior Adam Paul signed a letter of intent to play basketball next season at Cincinnati Christian University.
Wes-Del will have its fourth annual Coaches vs. Cancer night on Friday when it plays host to Delta. Donations to help the fight against cancer and items such as T-shirts and wristbands will be sold to raise money for the cause. A pork loin dinner will be available for $8 starting at 5 p.m. at the school. Last year’s game at Wes-Del raised more than $3,000 for the local Relay for Life, and the school hopes to top that figure.
Blackford defeated Alexandria 54-45 victory. Maggie Weeks-Foy led the Bruins with 17 points. Adrianna Lancaster and Lauren Godfrey each scored 10.
New Castle won 53-48 at Westfield. Shelby Alderson led the Trojans with 13 points.
