Prep Notes: Daily high school sports news



Shenandoah physicals for the 2014-2015 school year will be given at the office of Dr. Steven J. DeLee, 602 N. Fifth Street in Middletown, on July 8 and 15 from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $30 and athletes must bring a signed and filled out physical form available at the school or the IHSAA website.


Class 2A state champion Wapahani had five players on the All-Delaware County Baseball team, matching Yorktown for the most. The Raiders’ group was Zack Thompson, Jacob Walters, Taylor McKee, Luke Snider and Hayden Castor, while the Tigers put Clay Dungan, Jacob Preston, Nathan Phillips, Jake Clawson and Anthony Todd on the team. The rest were Rob Fox, Tate Stone, Cade Jones and Nick Maloney from Delta, Daleville’s Elliott Jackson and T.J. Price, Cowan’s Luke Miller and Wes-Del’s Devin Gill. Honorable mentions were Cowan’s Brady Harris and Kasey Henderson, Daleville’s Caleb Maddox and Gavin Whitmore, Delta’s Jared Tomlin, Yorktown’s Blake Upchurch and Trevor Spencer, Justin Evans and Matt Emrick from Wes-Del.
