Three Delta players were named to the All-Hoosier Heritage Conference team. The Eagles’ Rob Fox, Tate Stone and Cade Jones each earned the honor. Yorktown’s Jacob Preston and Clay Dungan were also selected to the all-conference team. Fox and Preston were unanimous selections. Nick Maloney (Delta), Zak Kellogg (New Castle), Kenny Martin (New Castle), Tyler Smith (New Castle), Grant Malott (New Castle), Nathan Phillips (Yorktown), Jake Clawson (Yorktown), Anthony Todd (Yorktown) and Blake Upchurch (Yorktown) each earned honorable mentions. Due to not yet having a full conference schedule, players from New Castle were not eligible for the all-conference team but were eligible for honorable mentions.


Delta’s Madison Ashman went 3-0 in one singles match and two doubles matches in helping the North team to victory in the North vs. South High School All Star Tennis Cup at Marian University on Sunday.


Monroe Central’s Jake Combs will compee in the 1A-2A senior game at the Class Basketball All-Star Classic Series at Anderson University. Ball State signees Sean Sellers (Greensburg) and Jeremie Tyler (Indianapolis Arsenal Tech) will be competing in the senior 3A-4A game. Both games will be played on Saturday.


The following Cowan athletes earned Academic All-Mid-Eastern Conference honors for the spring season: Kendal Wright, Carli Skinner, John Neeley, Connor Auten, Brady Harris, Kristina Flowers, Lizzie Davis, Kayli Lacy, Vincent Horvath, Dustin Haver, Kyle Oxley, Luke Miller, Allie McCreery, Kellsie Mace and Ezra Kerr.
