Andrew’s week

Telschow, one of the Flying Dutchmen’s leading scorers this season, scored a team-high 17 points in a regional championship win last week against Campbellsport.

All-time team sports achievement

“Going undefeated in conference last year and then the three regional titles — we won regionals sophomore, junior and senior year”

All-time individual achievement

“First-team all-conference running back this year”

No. 1 athletic goal

“I’ve always had a dream of making it to State. Doesn’t really matter which sport, but just always State.”

Coach Kevin Bruggink’s thoughts

“Andrew is one of a select group of players that is able to play all five positions on the floor. He has played everywhere from point guard to post and is willing to do whatever is necessary for the team to succeed. Andrew is a credible team leader because his actions match his words. He consistently does things the right way on the court and off and his earned the respect of this teammates, coaches and teachers.”

Andrew’s thoughts

“We’ve been doing pretty well. We’ve definitely been rolling lately. I think our team chemistry has just been through the roof. … I had pretty high expectations for myself personally (this season). I’ve been on varsity since sophomore year, so I’ve seen my role change quite a bit from more of a practice role to more of a leading game role. Lately things have been clicking, same as the team. Just everything’s really sort of been piecing together for myself personally and the team, and I’ve been seeing my stats I guess increase because of that.”
