Shelby McCarty netted 14 points, one off a season-high, as the Crusaders earned their first victory of the season in a game Saturday at Villanova University.
Asya Alba added nine points for Delsea.
Schalick 100, Ewing 83
Rashaan and Mike Holloway combined for 60 of the Cougars’ 100 points Saturday as Schalick snapped Ewing’s 13-game winning streak with the triumph. Rashaan tallied a career-high 41 points while Mike pitched in with 19.
Melvin Allen also scored 19 points for the Cougars, and DeAndre Solomon added 11.
Wrestling Moorestown Duals
Buena went 2-2 on the day Saturday, beating Camden Catholic (51-18) and Moorestown (34-24) while losing to Hunterdon Central and Christian Brothers Academy.
Chaz Bramble, wrestling at both 138 and 145 pounds, went 4-0 on the day with two technical falls. Chris LaPortez (113) was 3-0 on the mat and also won by forfeit. Tim Suter (126) went 3-1 with three pins.
The Thunderbolts finished 2-1 at their quad Saturday with victories over Pennsville (56-13) and Seneca (54-16) and dropping a tough 32-29 match to Cherry Hill West.
Jose Soto (170) pinned all three of his opponents, and Keith Mahoney (145/152) finished 3-0 as well.
The Fighting Clan concluded their Saturday quad 2-1 with triumphs over Mainland (49-18) and Middle Township (61-12). Vineland fell to Hammonton though, 47-23.
Steven Bergamo (106) pinned in two bouts and earned a technical fall in his third, Josh Pineda (113) decked all three of his opponents and Zach Nealis (132) also went 3-0.
