WILD ROSE – Evan Pagel canned a 3-pointer from the top of the key with 3.4 seconds left to lift the Almond-Bancroft boys basketball team to a 53-50 victory over Wild Rose on Friday in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 matchup.

Pagel finished with a team-high 17 points, Ethan Yonke added 12 and Austin Bunders chipped in 11.

“We battled some foul trouble and we kept our poise, kepy battling to the end and executed on that final play,” A-B coach Curt Lamb said.

PORT EDWARDS – Jarod Richter scorched the nets, scoring a game-high 29 points, including six 3-pointers, but the Hornets fell to the Blackhawks. Port Edwards is now 19-1.

Jacob Joslin paced the Blackhawks with 16 points.

WEYAUWEGA – Brett O’Sullivan scored 17 points and James Gollon added 15 to lead Pacelli to a Central Wisconsin-8 win.

The Cardinals improved to 11-1 in the league, to hold its one-game lead over second-place Shiocton.Pacelli has played Shiocton twice and has only two remaining conference games left on their schedule. The Cardinals host both W-F and Bonduel next week, after a Monday nonconference game with Antigo.
