Lennox used a 23-point fourth quarter Tuesday night to defeat Vermillion 64-58 in boys basketball in Lennox.

Jacob Hinker scored 22 points and had eight rebounds, and Lennox outscored the Tanagers 23-17 in the final period.

Collin McEntee added 10 points for Lennox (1-1).

Cooper Williams scored 22 points and Roshaude Harper 13 for Vermillion (0-2).

TRI-VALLEY 57, MADISON 54 in Colton – Will Steinke scored 19 points and Jayden Sonnenburg 16 as the Mustangs improved to 3-0. Steinke also grabbed 13 rebounds.

Taner DeHoed scored 21 points and Hunter Robson had 12 for Madison (1-1). Danny Klosterman claimed 10 rebounds.

Tri-Valley is at Chester on Friday.

TEA AREA 68, McCOOK CENTRAL-MONTROSE 54 in Tea – Hunter Irvine had 19 points and 12 rebounds to pace Tea Area, which pulled away with a 20-9 third-quarter advantage.

Jordan Fechner added 17 points and Ethan Freidel 11 for Tea Area (3-0).

Levi Sabers scored 16 points and Will Gottlob 12 for MCM (1-1). Cole Cheeseman contributed 10 rebounds.

Tea Area is host to Dell Rapids on Friday.

MITCHELL 100, HARRISBURG 84 – Beau Brown scored 33 points for Mitchell and Wil Johnson had 28 for the Tigers.

PARKER 73, BALTIC 36 in Parker — Kely Peters scored 19 points, Zack Anderson added 16 and each grabbed eight rebounds to pace Parker.

Zach O’Keefe contributed nine points, eight rebounds and nine assists and Ladon Leberman had 12 points and eight rebounds for Parker (1-1).

Harrison Anderson scored 16 points and Austin Row had eight rebounds for Baltic (0-2).

ELKTON-LAKE BENTON 55, FLANDREAU 48 in Elkton – Heath Schindler tallied 25 points and nine rebounds and Josh Grooters contributed 13 rebounds for E-LB (1-0).

Tim Parsley scored 10 points for Flandreau (1-1).

E-LB is at Colman Egan on Friday and Flandreau plays Deubrook on Dec. 27 in the Entringer Classic.

CANISTOTA 54, IRENE-WAKONDA 50 in Irene – Mason Decker scored 21 points, Shay Jolley added 16 and Canistota outscored Irene-Wakonda 24-9 in the third quarter to seize command.

Gabe King and Levin Van Beek each scored 17 points for Irene-Wakonda (0-2). King also had 14 rebounds and five blocked shots.

Canistota (1-0) is at Freeman on Thursday and Irene-Wakonda is host to Viborg-Hurley on Friday.

CENTERVILLE 74, DELL RAPIDS ST. MARY 53 in Centerville – Tyrell Martz scored 26 points, Rory O’Malley 21 and Christian Grischian had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Tornadoes.

Mitch Brown scored 17 points for St. Mary (0-2), which was outscored 24-4 in the third quarter.

Centerville (1-1) plays Baltic and St. Mary faces De Smet on Friday.

CORSICA-STICKNEY 66, AVON 47 in Avon – Clayton Menning and Eli Van Roekel each scored 19 points for Corsica-Stickney (1-1). Menning also collected 10 rebounds. Logan Mudder and Devin Tolma each scored 16 for Avon (0-1).

SISSETON 54, MILBANK 30 in Milbank – Ethan Kranhold and Matthew Nieland each scored 12 points for Sisseton. J.P. Lindquist scored nine for Milbank.

CLARK-WILLOW LAKE 58, DE SMET 46 in De Smet – Tyson Jenkins powered Clark-Willow Lake with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Adam Aughenbaugh scored 16 points for De Smet.

NORTHWESTERN 57, EDMUNDS CENTRAL 23 in Mellette – Logan Schentzel scored 14 points and Isaac Groft 13 for Northwestern. Bryce Malsam scored 10 points for Edmunds Central.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

O’GORMAN 60, BROOKINGS 49 in Brookings – Dalee Steen scored 21 points, converting 13 of 16 foul shots, as the Knights prevailed.

South Dakota State recruit Jessica Mieras added 17 points and nine rebounds with four blocked shots for O’Gorman, which led 32-24 at halftime. Stene had five assists and five steals.

Brookings pulled within 43-39 after three quarters, but the Knights pulled away with a 17-10 fourth-quarter advantage.

Sara Tvedt had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Brookings, and Sidney Berreth contributed 11 points and five assists.

SIOUX FALLS CHRISTIAN 49, VERMILLION 46 in Vermillion – Kensi Brands and Shelby Zomermaand each scored 12 points for the Chargers

Vermillion was led by Haleigh Melstad with 11 points.

TRI-VALLEY 44, MADISON 37 in Colton – The Mustangs improved to 2-0 behind 21 points and eight rebounds from Sammy Kasowski.

Rozlind VandenBosch scored nine points for Madison.

CENTERVILLE 64, DELL RAPIDS ST. MARY 43 in Centerville – Shannon O’Malley scored 22 points and Emily Snyder 16 to lead the Tornadoes.

Ally Mullaney scored 19 points for St. Mary.

PARKER 51, BALTIC 45 in Parker – Rylie Christensen scored 17 points and Lauren Hunstad 16 for lead Parker. Christensen also grabbed nine rebounds.

Makay Paszek scored 13 points for Baltic.

DEUBROOK 54, DEUEL 20 in Clear Lake – Ytsjc Vandermeer and Cortney Bauman each scored 10 points for Debrook (3-0). Rachel Baer and Courtney Mack each scored four for Deuel (1-3).

SCOTLAND 49, MENNO 32 in Scotland – Carley Skorepa scored 18 points and had six assists for Scotland. Abby Herrboldt scored 11 points for Menno.

SUNSHINE BIBLE ACADEMY 46, FAULKTON 42 in Miller – Susan Wilken had 16 points and Cassie Beckwith 15 rebounds for SBA (2-1). Madison Boss scored 20 points for Faulkton (1-1).

WILMOT 65, WAVERLY-SOUTH SHORE 21 in Wilmot – Gabby Renelt led four players in double figures with 15 points for Wilmot. Sidney Ebben had 14 points and 13 rebounds. Michaela Kranz scored 10 points for W-SS.

MILBANK 42, SISSETON 31 in Milbank – Caryssa Mielitz and Brittany Ackerman each scored 10 points for Milbank. Cami Goodhart scored seven points for Sisseton.

HIGHMORE-HARROLD 43, JAMES VALLEY CHRISTIAN 34 –– McKenzee Zilberberg scored 24 points and Sydney Cowan collected 10 rebounds for Highmore-Harrold (3-0).
