WAUSAU – Stevens Point Area Senior High’s Taylor Thomas and Wausau East’s Matt Tuman both shot identical scores of 76 — 36 on the front, 40 on the back — to share medalist honors at the third leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Friday at Trapp River Golf Course.

Only five points separated the top three teams with SPASH taking the top spot with a score of 329, followed by Wausau East with 331 and Marshfield with 333.

All scoring golfers on the top three teams scored under 90.

Leading Marshfield was Craig Serchen with an 80, while Joe Benbow led Wisconsin Rapids with an 80 and Drew Pearson’s 87 paced Wausau West, which tied with Rapids for fourth place with a score of 355.

TOMAHAWK – Chandler Tollison had seven pars to card in with a 90 (46-44) to lead Tomahawk to a fourth place finsih on the fourth leg of the conference schedule.

Klayton Lee led Medford with a 92 and Kyle Oliva shot a 92 to lead Mosinee.
