Prep softball roundup: Lincoln falls to GB East

The Manitowoc Lincoln softball team traveled to Green Bay East on Thursday, falling 12-2 in five innings.

The Ships got on the board first, scoring once in the top of the first before East answered with one of their own in the home half. The Red Devils went on to score four in the second, a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Hannah Spindler took the loss for Lincoln, pitching all five innings while striking out four.

Hitting stats were not provided.

Wrightstown 10, Roncalli 3

The host Tigers scored three runs in the first and never relinquished the lead en route to a 10-3 win over the Jets.

Roncalli cut the deficit to one with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth, but Wrightstown responded with five more runs in its half of the frame.

Tiffany Abts and McKenzie Miller each had two hits for the Jets, while Erin Jagemann went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.

Abts took the loss for Roncalli, tossing six innings and allowing six earned runs on seven hits. She struck out five.
