Shayna Schroeder and Jaydin Grenier each hit a home run to help power the visiting Manitowoc Lincoln softball team past Mishicot on Monday 10-0.
Schroeder finished the game 1-for-4, hitting a 2-run homer while Grenier (2-for-4) belted a 3-run shot. Also for the Ships, Sam Kaufman (2-for-4) drove in three runs and Sabrina Luedtke (3-for-4) led Lincoln in hits.
The Ships took an early 2-0 lead after the first inning and were able to tack on two more in the fourth, one in the fifth and four in the seventh.
Hannah Spindler earned the complete-game win for Lincoln, holding the Indians to two hits while striking out five.
Lindsay Bries took the loss for Mishicot, allowing four runs on five hits in four innings of work.
Complete stats for Mishicot were not provided.
Man. Lutheran 21, Brillion 5 (5)
The Lancers and Lions completed the game which began on April 28 but was stopped after two innings due to rain with Lutheran ahead 6-4.
Upon resumption, it was all Lancers as the hosts erupted for 15 runs in the third and fourth innings.
Kelsey Fels earned the win for Lutheran, throwing five innings and allowing five runs — three earned — on seven hits.
MacKayla Menges paced the Lancers by going 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and three runs scored while teammate Kaitlin Radue (3-for-3) scored four times and drove in three runs of her own.
Chilton 10, Roncalli 1 (6)
A six-run fifth inning by the Tigers proved costly for the Jets, who fell in a rain-shortened contest.
Tiffany Abts led Roncalli on offense, going 1-for-2 with an RBI while teammate McKenzie Miller (1-for-2) scored twice.
Abts was also the pitcher of record for the Jets, taking the loss while throwing all six innings.
