Trailing 5-2 entering the bottom of the seventh, the host Manitowoc Lincoln softball scored four runs to rally past Notre Dame on Friday 6-5.

The Tritons jumped out of the gates taking an early 2-0 lead after the away half of the first before the Ships responded with a run in each of the first two innings. The game remained deadlocked at 2-2 until Notre Dame scratched across a run in the top of the fifth and added two more in the seventh, setting the stage for the Lincoln comeback.

The Ships’ Alex Luedtke went 2-for-4 and scored the winning run, driven in by teammate Mary Troullier (1-for-2). Also for Lincoln, Shayna Schroeder (2-for-4) drove in a pair and Sam Kaufman had a three hit performance, going 3-for-4.

Hannah Spindler got the complete-game win for the Ships, allowing five runs on seven hits.

Roncalli 10-11, Brillion 3-9

A high-powered Jets offense propelled Roncalli to a sweep against Brillion in the doubleheader.

The Jets’ Tallie Piaskowski went 3-for-3 with an RBI in Game 1 while teammate Tiffany Abts (2-for-3) scored twice.

Abts earned the complete-game win on the mound, allowing three runs — two earned — on a pair of hits.

In Game 2, it was once again Abts getting the win. She threw 423 and surrendered six runs — two earned — on eight hits.

Offensively, Hannah Severin (2-for-2) drove in three runs while scoring and walking twice to lead Roncalli. McKenzie Miller (3-for-4) also came around to score twice for the Jets.

Late Thursday Mishicot 9, Brillion 1

Indians pitcher Lindsay Bries held the visiting Lions in check, allowing one run on five hits and five strikeouts.

Amber Pantzlaff and Tayler Krause each drove in three runs for Mishicot. Pantzlaff went 2-for-3 while Krause (3-for-4) fell a home run short of hitting for the cycle.
