Nine Reedsville batters reached base as the Panthers’ softball team topped host Manitowoc Lutheran 10-6 in an Olympian Conference tilt on Monday.
Trailing 5-4 in the top of the fifth, Reedsville scored six runs to take a 10-5 lead. The Panthers drew six walks in the frame.
Sammy Van Ells was 1-for-3 with 3 RBIs for Reedsville.
Hannah Yagodinski led the Lancers with a 2-for-3 showing at the plate. She also drove in two runs.
Katie Ziemer earned the win, pitching five innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking six.
MacKayla Menges took the loss after working 4 1⁄3 innings and allowing seven earned runs on five hits.
Wrightstown 5, Roncalli 4
The Jets jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning thanks to a 2-run home run by Tiffany Abts, but the visiting Tigers answered with a run in each of the next five innings to claim the 5-4 win.
Abts was 2-for-4 for Roncalli and drove in all four of the Jets’ runs.
Hannah Severin was handed the loss, allowing two earned runs on four hits in four innings of work. She struck out one and walked three.
New Holstein 10, Roncalli 6
After its make up game with Wrightstown, Roncalli hosted New Holstein and fell 10-6.
Erin Jagemann finished the game 3-for-4 for the Jets with two RBIs, while teammate McKenzie Miller hit a home run.
Tiffany Abts took the loss, working four innings and allowing five earned runs on seven hits. She struck out six and walked three.
