The Mishicot wrestling team won the eight-team Markesan Invite on Saturday with eight wrestlers finishing in the top three and four individual champions.

Weston Paplham won the title at 132 pounds while teammates Kyle Tesarik (138), Boone Young (145) and Zak Elliott (170) also were victorious for the Indians.

Jacob Luckow (106), Kyle Hutterer (132), Erik Battin (182) took second for Mishicot at their respective weight classes while Dylan Winquist (160) was third.

Team scores: Mishicot 171.5, Markesan 160, Kenosha St. Joseph 125.5, Columbus 122.0, Horicon 121.5, Rio/Fall River 107, St. Johns Northwestern 78, Oakfield 76.5, Oshkosh West JV 72

Redbird Duals

Reedsville took first place as a team at the De Pere-hosted tournament while Kiel finished third.

The Panthers were led by Jordan Brandt who went 5-0 at 285 pounds while Elliott Ebert (160), Grant Wedepohl (170) and Tyler Schuh (182) all went 4-0 at their respective weight classes before each winning a match one weight class higher.

For the Raiders, both Aaron Field (182) and Matt Halverson (285) went 5-0 on the day.

Wauwatosa Duals

Manitowoc Lincoln went 1-3 at the Wauwatosa East/West-hosted duals, defeating Waukesha West 36-3 and losing to Wisconsin Lutheran (57-17), South Milwaukee (54-16) and Wauwatosa East/West (46-27).

The Ships were led by Zac Youngchild and Noah Meissner who both went 4-0 at 145- and 113-pounds, respectively.
