Q&A with St. Michael's Senior Basketball Player, Olivia Bregger

Olivia Bregger is a senior at Saint Michael’s and a three year varsity basketball player. Bregger is a team captain to tholme Lady Crusaders Basketball team and will attend Texas Tech University next year after graduation.

  1. When did you start playing basketball?

When I was really little with my brothers in the backyard.

  1. What is your favorite thing about playing basketball?

It is a lot of fun and keeps me in shape so I think those are my favorite things about basketball.

  1. What do you do when you are not playing basketball?

I like to play guitar and hang out with my friends.

  1. Who has been the biggest influence on you as an athlete? 

My brothers who both played football at Saint Michael’s are my biggest influences.

  1. What is it like to be on the basketball team at SMCA?

It is nice having another family at school besides my friends.

  1. What is your biggest strength as a basketball player?

I think my biggest strength is shooting.

  1. Where do you feel you and your teammates stand at this point in the season? 

I think we are in a good position even though we have some improvements to work on.

  1. What game are you looking forward to the most the rest of the season?

I am looking forward to playing Antonian because they are our big rivals even though they aren’t in our district anymore.

  1. Do you have a pre-game ritual?

I have a certain playlist on my phone that I listen to so I can get in my zone.
