RBI 12U wins Fall Classic


The Raleigh Baseball Institute (RBI) 12 and under team won the Smoky Mountain Fall Classic played over the weekend in Canton.

On Saturday RBI defeated Forest City’s MVP Baseball 10-0 and Brevard’s Blues Baseball 11-3. On Sunday they defeated Asheville’s Diamond Mine 6-5 in the semi finals. They went extra innings to take the championship over the Asheville Braves 6-5. Winning pitchers were Lucas Webb, Jeremy Stewart( not pictured) and Ian Brooks. Brady Goolsby recorded the save. RBI’s bats produced 33 runs in 4 games.
