Former Reynolds football standout Chase Rice releases his latest full album of country music on Tuesday.
“Ignite the Night” is now in stores nationwide and also available for order online through Rice’s website.
Rice was inducted into the Reynolds athletics hall of fame in May.
He graduated from the Buncombe County school in 2004 and was a Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas selection in 2003 after making 159 tackles, three sacks and an interception for the Rockets (14-1).
Rice played college football for the University of North Carolina.
One of our sister papers, the Nashville (Tenn.) Tennesseean, did this profile piece on Rice earlier this week:
For Chase Rice, living well has been the best revenge.
Turned down by major record labels earlier in his career, Rice has spent the last several years building a national fan base, thanks to a ferocious touring schedule and a business model that is unique in country music. And now Rice is going one step further than merely saying, “I told you so,” to those who spurned him.
Rice has hired one of the record labels to work for him.
