Ripon sweeps titles at Kewaskum Invitational

Kewaskum Invitational: Ripon claimed both the boys and girls titles at the eight-team meet.

The boys had a pair of 1-2 finishes and won three of the four relays en route to easily picking up the title. The Tigers finished with 175 points, while runner-up Oostburg had just 114 points.

James Vander Galien and Elias Nelsen finished first and second, respectively, in the 400 meters for the Tigers, while Caleb Kasper and David Bardsley were 1-2 in the pole vault.

Evan Elliott in the triple jump and Trevor Robichaud im the discus also posted wins for Ripon, while Robichaud in the discus and Bruce Cunningham in the 3,200 meters earned runner-up finishes.

The Ripon girls had only one individual winner on the day, with Addy Baker winning the 300-meter hurdles. The Tigers did win two of the three relays.

Lauren Cook added a second place in the pole vault for Ripon, which scored 118½ points, to finish 10½ ahead of Lake Country Lutheran to win the title.
