CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Rocky River made the trip to Charlotte on Monday to take on the Providence Panthers. The Ravens were looking to win their first game of the season after being competitive at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge over the weekend.

Keyon Wesley led the Ravens in scoring with 22 points as Tyrek Haywood had eight rebounds. Tireq Marrow dished out six assists. Rocky River led by 10 at recess and never looked back.

With four minutes left in the game Dalen Dotson scooped and scored to bring the Panthers within three points, but that was as close as they would get as the Ravens would crash the glass and hit timely free throws to walk away with a 67-58 victory.

Providence will travel to Parkwood on Tuesday. Girls game tips at 6:00 p.m. and the boys will follow.

Rocky River will host Ardrey Kell with the girls game starting at 6:00 p.m.
