Chris Rodriguez’s two-out single in the bottom of the 10th inning scored Matt Parke with the winning run as Manalapan outlasted Howell, No. 9 in the Asbury Park Press Top 10, 5-4 on Wednesday in a Shore Conference Class A North game.

Parke reached on a fielder’s choice and stole second before Rodriguez’s game-winning hit.

A.J. Kawa pitched three innings of two-hit relief with two strikeouts to pick up the win,.

Ryan Tsang had proceeded Kawa with 213 innings of one-hit relief for Manalapan (2-2, 2-1)

MANASQUAN 10, SJ VIANNEY 2: A seven-run bottom of the fifth inning broke a 2-all tie and sent the Warriors (2-1, 2-0) over the No. 2 Lancers (3-1, 3-1) and into first place in Class A Central.

Junior Tanner Cowley had a game-tying two-out, two-run double in the third and three RBI and senior Tommy Toole went 3-for-5 and scored two runs for Manasquan.

Freshman Tom Sheehan pitched five innings of six-hit ball with five strikeouts to pick up his second win.

BARNEGAT 4, JACKSON LIBERTY 2: Sophomore Jason Groome struck out 13 and pitched a complete-game four-hitter, Nik Fraim had an RBI double and Marcus Nasce an RBI pinch-hit single in the fifth as the Bengals (2-1, 2-1) defeated the Lions (1-4, 1-3) in a Class B South game.

Groome has struck out 24 in 14 innings.

JACKSON MEMORIAL 4, TR EAST 1: Brandon Janofsky (2-0) pitched 413 innings and Rick Aviles pitched 213 innings of scoreless relief to earn the save as the No. 5 Jaguars (3-1, 2-1) defeated the No. 7 Raiders (2-1, 2-1) in a Class A South game.

FREEHOLD 5, MATAWAN 4: Zach Mulhern’s single in the bottom of the seventh scored Ryan Yee with the winning run and capped a three-run rally, as the Colonials (2-1, 2-1) defeated the Huskies (2-1, 1-1) in a Class B North game.

COLTS NECK 3, MIDD. SOUTH 2: Kyle Murrin’s two-out, two-run double in the top of the fourth broke a 1-all tie and Robbie Warendorf pitched five innings of five-hit ball with five strikeouts, and five walks as the Cougars (3-0, 3-0) remained in first-place in Class A North with a win over the Eagles (1-2, 1-2).

MARLBORO 3, MIDD. NORTH 2: Steve Santigate’s two-run single to center in the top of the sixth capped a three-run rally and Andrew Nardi pitched a complete-game four-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks as the Mustangs (1-1, 1-1) defeated the Lions (0-1-1, 0-1-1) in a Class A North game.

LACEY 1, BRICK MEMORIAL 0: Connor Rooney and Brett Kinsey combined on a three-hitter and George Peddie’s sacrifice fly in bottom of the fourth scored Conor Davies with the winning run as the Lions (2-2, 1-2) defeated the Mustangs (1-4, 1-2) in a Class A South game.

TR SOUTH 8, BRICK 6: Sophomore left fielder Trevor Wagner’s three-run double down the left-field line with two out in the bottom of the fifth broke a 4-all tie as the No. 8 Indians (3-1, 2-1) defeated the Green Dragons (2-3, 1-3) in a Class A South game.

RUMSON-FH 3, HOLMDEL 2: Morgan Maguire pitched a complete-game four-hitter, struck out 10, had a solo homer and doubled to lead the Bulldogs (1-2, 1-2) to a Class A Central win over the Hornets (1-2, 0-2).

MONSIGNOR DONOVAN 2, PINELANDS 0: Junior left fielder Alex Loffredo belted a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth, senior catcher Bryan Mulligan went 3-for-3 and Dante Pagano pitched a complete-game two-hitter with six strikeouts and three walks, as the Griffins (1-2, 1-2) defeated the Wildcats (1-3, 1-2) in a Class B South game.

POINT BORO 4, MANCHESTER 1: Mike Dunham pitched a complete-game three-hitter, struck out six and walked one and Jack Fitzsimmons’ two-run single highlighted a three-run fourth as the Panthers (2-0, 2-0) defeated the Hawks (2-4, 2-2) in a Class B South game.

TR NORTH 6, SOUTHERN 2: Julian Feliz’s two-out, two-run double in the bottom of the seventh gave the No. 4 Mariners (4-0, 3-0) a 3-2 lead and they went on to defeat the Rams (0-2, 0-2) in a Class A South game.

CENTRAL 9, LAKEWOOD 0: Andrew DiPiazza struck out eight and allowed just one hit over the first four innings and Christian Bearden went 3-for-4 with two run-scoring singles as the Golden Eagles (2-1, 2-0) defeated the Piners (0-2, 0-2) in a Class B South game.
