After a six-goal first period between the two teams, Vestal scored twice in the second period and held on for a 6-4 victory against Maine-Endwell on Sunday in Broome County High School Hockey Association action at the SUNY Broome Ice Center.

Troy Harding and Nick Barney scored for Vestal in the second period and Harding scored his second goal of the game in the third period to give Vestal a 6-3 lead before Maine-Endwell scored for the final margin.

Harding finished with two goals and one assist, while Mason Harner and Brandon Lindaman each had a goal and assist. Nick Nestlerode had 30 saves for Vestal.

Jeremy Wilbur scored twice for Maine-Endwell and Kyle Balmer added a goal and two assists.

Chenango Forks 2, Binghamton 0: Josh Maus scored in the first period and Jordan Shelepak scored in the second as Chenango Forks won despite being outshot 29-25. Maus added an assist on Shelepak’s goal for Chenango Forks (6-6-4) and Adam Carmen had 29 saves for the shutout.

David Roberts had 24 saves for Binghamton (8-8-1).

Union-Endicott 8, Johnson City 1: Luke Wilbur scored two goals in the first period and added two more in the second for a four-goal game for Union-Endicott, which outshot Johnson City 28-16. The game was called after two periods after Johnson City’s goalie sustained an injury.

Adam Sokol added two goals for Union-Endicott while Anthony Pucedo and Patrick Kettle had four and three assists, respectively.
