The Sheridan boys and girls cross country teams captured the Buckeye Lake Invitational Wednesday, defeating Lakewood and Millersport in the annual event.
The Generals claimed the top five spots and had eight of the top 10 in the boys race. Clay Fisher earned his first career victory with a time of 11:26, followed by Lucas Severance (11:29), Garrett Gwinn (11:45), Keith Clellan (11:46) and his brother Kyle Clellan (11:53).
Katy Foltz won the girls event for Sheridan with a time of 13:47. She was followed close behind by teammates Amy Craig in second, Anna Foster in third and Chloe Martin in fourth. Elizabeth Purkey was also sixth for Sheridan.
The Sheridan junior high programs also won their respective events, with Levi Sweazy winning the boys race and Emily Heath taking down the girls title.
