The Shiocton baseball team won a Division 3 regional championship with a 7-3 victory over St. Mary Central on Friday in Town of Menasha.
Shiocton used a three-run fourth inning and a two-run sixth inning to pull away from the Zephyrs.
Leading 2-1 in the fourth, Shiocton loaded the bases on a single by Riley Wood, a walk to Dominic Gunderson and an error. Gage Kamp, who scored four of Shiocton’s runs, Brandon Gomm and Talon Heinemeyer then had a single, single and a double that each scored a run.
The Zephyrs responded with two runs in the fifth to make it 5-3 on Griffin Jack’s two-run double before the Chiefs responded with a pair of runs in the sixth that scored on Heinemeyer’s sacrifice fly and Mitch Ebben’s single.
Ebben pitched a complete game for Shiocton (17-7), allowing three runs on six hits while striking out nine.

At Green Bay, the Truckers could muster only two hits in the loss to the Tritons.
Nick Zacharias pitched a complete game for Notre Dame, striking out 10. Turner Doornink homered for Clintonville’s only run.

At Waupun, Spencer Beek drove in the lead run with a single in the fourth inning and Bryce Buchholz hit a two-run home run in the fifth as the Warriors beat the Comets.
Johnny Popham drove in the Comets’ run in the third inning, tying the game at 1-1.
Popham pitched six innings for Waupaca, allowing seven hits and four runs, with three walks and seven strikeouts.
