Elmira Notre Dame had six players named to the first team for the Interscholastic Athletic Conference South Large School boys soccer all-star team.
The picks were made by the division’s coaches.
Crusaders selected to the first team were forwards Rocco Coulibaly and Aidan Sharma, midfielders Ryan Lanning and Alex Sabia, and defenders Nick Steed and Junior Coulibaly.
Watkins Glen first-team selections were forward Jonas Recker, midfielder Luke Flahive, goalie Simon Wigmore, and defenders Justin Duane and Max Gardner.
Other first-team picks were Waverly midfielder Callum Caplun and Newark Valley defender Phil Lindhorst.
Second-team choices were forwards Kassra Eshraghi of Notre Dame, Parker Pangallo and John Evanitsky of Watkins Glen, and Josh Felicetti and A.J. Coleman of Newark Valley; defenders Cody Czebiniak of Waverly, Ryan Steed of Notre Dame, Cody Cornell of Newark Valley and James Updyke of Watkins Glen; and goalie Barak Steika of Newark Valley.
IAC South Small Schools
Earning first-team honors for Odessa-Montour were forward Collin Povoski and defenders Cody Daugherty and Joe Rorick.
Joining them on the first team were Spencer-Van Etten’s Joshua Barber, Travis Holman, Philip VanDeVoorde, Tyler Hodges and Zane Johnson; Tioga’s Adam Layman, Robert Argetsinger and Ian Moon; and Candor’s Jordan Bartolis.
Second-team picks for O-M were forward Billy Bacon, goalie Andy Fudala, and midfielders Noah Bruno, Luke Eberhardt and Joel Kelly. Other picks were Newfield’s Spencer King, Tioga’s Josh Welch, Austin Beebe and Jacob Coddington; Candor’s Adam Nichols and Kyle Jensen; and S-VE’s Justin Barber.
