STATESVILLE, N.C. — South Iredell High School improved to 2-0 in North Piedmont play Tuesday, defeating West Iredell 59-50.
Senior Tyzden Graham scored 20 for the Vikings, outdueling West Iredell’s Michael Allison who scored 21 for the visiting Warriors. In a tightly contested game, the Vikings were able to take a slim 23-20 lead into the locker room at halftime. When the second half started, it was all South Iredell, with the Vikings racing out to a 43-32 lead going into the fourth quarter.
South Iredell returns to the court December 18 when they visit Lake Norman in North Piedmont action. West Iredell will get a much-needed home game after two tough road losses to start conference play when they host Statesville Thursday.
