South Iredell volleyball eager for 2014

By

STATESVILLE, N.C. — The South Iredell Lady Vikings volleyball team has a lot to play for in 2014. Last year, the Lady Vikings were eliminated by state runner-up Carson in the state playoffs. Coach Ashlyn Morris knows her team is more than capable of getting back to the playoffs. Last year, South Iredell won the North Piedmont Conference championship following three 3-0 sweeps in the conference tournament.

Last year’s team only graduated one senior, so Morris and company will be experienced and hungry for glory. Senior leadership on this year’s team will include Claire Pritchard, Ally Hall, Maggie Emery, Madison Winters, and Paige Springman.

The Lady Vikings begin their season at home August 21 against North Lincoln High School.
