The Spotswood Trailblazers eked out a four-stroke, 321-325, victory over Robert E. Lee in a Valley District golf mini-tournament played at the Club at Ironwood.

Harrisonburg finished third at 342, followed by Turner Ashby’s 343, Fort Defiance’s 352, Broadway’s 363 and Waynesboro’s 391.

Fort’s Parker See and Harrisonburg’s Sam Clarke shared low medalist honors with 6-over 77s.

Jordan Plogger’s 80 sparked the Leemen’s second-place performance. Hunter Otteni shot a 78, while Gunner Cook added an 81 and Madison Davis an 86.

For the Indians after See’s 77, Jake Lam carded an 83, Logan Pearson a 94 and Devon Payne a 98.

Witt Yancey’s 89 led the Little Giants, followed by Brad Martin’s 90, Burke Bender’s 94 and Brian Boothe’s 118.

The Indians and Little Giants compete in the first of three Conference 29 mini-tournaments Thursday at the Old Trail Golf Club in Crozet. The top two teams in total score advance to the Group 3A West regional match.
