Crimsons seeking first victory over Tigers since 1993

With both teams losing last week, the loser of this one likely will surrender any chance of hosting a first-round playoff game. Since a 17-3 win in 1993, Manual has lost 24 straight meetings with St. X, including 24-23 last year.

Manual’s defense, allowing just five points per game, was strong again in last week’s loss to Trinity. But the offense stalled with five turnovers and just 89 rushing yards on 34 attempts (2.6 yards per carry). Quarterback Tim Comstock rushed for 52 yards on 11 carries but also was intercepted twice.

St. X managed just 131 total yards against Male last week and committed four turnovers. Quarterback Noah Houk and running back TaiJon Smith both had short touchdown runs in the loss.
