Tattnall contemplates life in the GHSA

This year, Tattnall Square Academy takes the jump into GHSA competition.

The Trojans made it to the first round of the playoffs in 2013.

They come back with a lot of senior leadership.

Head Coach Clint Morgan says one of the biggest changes in switching over is the fact that they don’t get as many scrimmage chances per the rules in the GHSA.

He says last year they had five. This year, they get two.

But Morgan says they had a good camp, they have a lot of senior leadership and he’s watched the Vikings make the transition with a good bit of success.

“You know, for the last four years, FPD has had great seasons and all four years, and that’s something we can look at and say, ‘That could be us, too.’ They’ve done a good job with their transition and they have four years on us by going early, and the nucleus we have returning us, it’s a great time for us,” Morgan explained. “

The Trojans open up officially Friday the 29th against GMC.
