Collins Hill and Dacula are already winners before even playing in a game! Thanks to the votes of fans, the two teams will face each other in the first-ever Team 11 “Game of the Week”!
11Alive Sports brought the Team 11 crew out to Dacula for the much-anticipated match-up between the Eagles and the Falcons.
Two of our Team 11 Champions — Alec McQuade and Hunter Schwartz — offered their differing takes before the game.
It’s no doubt a test for Collins Hill as the Eagles start their season on the road against Dacula in Friday’s #Team11 Game of the Week.
Collins Hill has an apt for starting a season strong, however. The Eagles started last season 5-0 including a 21-13 victory over Dacula. In 2013, they lost their season opener, but went on to win the next four games including none other than Dacula.
The Eagles have actually won the last four outings against Dacula and lead the series 8-4 dating back to 1994.
The Eagles haven’t been defeated the Falcons since September 5, 2005 in a 48-13 blowout. Since, the games have been dramatically close coming down to about a one-possession differential.
There’s no reason to think this game will be any different as the two teams will battle hard to start their season with a crooked number in the win column.
And, if we’re going to truly look at trends, there’s no reason Collins Hill won’t come out victorious for a fifth-consecutive year.
Collins Hill defeats Dacula 20-17.
Revenge is the name of the game for Dacula in this weeks #Team11 Game of the week. The Falcons fell to the Collins Hill 13-21 in week two last season. In fact, you’ll have to look back to 2005 to see the last time Dacula came out victorious over the Eagles.
Time to get even.
This Falcons team has a lot of experience under their belt after finishing the 2013 campaign at 8-5 and is looking forward to the challenge. Returning four starters in the backfield, Coach Tommy Jones’ “Multi-T” offence should be a tricky stop for the Collins Hill.
Both teams will surely be looking to start there seasons off on the right foot, but there can only be one winner. This year is the season Dacula stops the bleeding and breaks the trend.
