1. Blackman (7-0)

It took Blackman a lot less time to get rolling Friday night than in a previous comeback win over Independence. The Blaze are clicking on all cylinders, especially offensively, behind UT commit Jauan Jennings at QB and Charlie Davidson at RB. Last week: Defeated La Vergne 42-17. Next: Bye.

2. Oakland (5-1)

The Patriots get tested enough in tough District 7-AAA, but the non-district schedule has provided huge tests, including this week. Last week: Bye. Next: Friday vs. Baylor.

3. Ensworth (5-1)

Ensworth flexed its muscle on the ground Thursday behind Darius Morehead and showed resolve in OT in a 50-44 win over MBA. Last week: Defeated MBA 50-44 in OT. Next: Friday at Giles County.

4. Hillsboro (7-0)

The Burros have cranked it up defensively, allowing just 39 points over the past four games, including a shutout over Antioch Friday. Last week: Defeated Antioch 27-0. Next: Bye.

5. Brentwood Acad. (6-1)

The Eagles are rolling after settling with QB Jeremiah Oatsvall, including Friday’s blowout victory. but a huge test looms this week. Last week: Defeated JPII 50-10. Next: Friday at McCallie.

6. CPA (6-0)

CPA is on cruise control, evidenced by a blowout win over a solid Spring Hill squad. This week should be no problem before a big league matchup vs. Marshall County. Last week: Defeated Spring Hill 47-21. Next: Friday vs. Whites Creek.

7. Ravenwood (6-0)

In what many thought would be a closer game, Ravenwood controlled rival Centennial from the outset and the defense pitched a shutout. Last week: Defeated Centennial 24-0. Next: Friday at Dickson County.

8. MBA (5-2)

Behind QB Cole Euverard, the Big Red continued to prove they are one of the top offensive teams in the state, but the defense allowed 40 points or more for the third time this season in an OT loss to Ensworth. Last week: Lost to Ensworth 50-44 in OT. Next: Friday vs. Father Ryan.

9. Pearl-Cohn (6-1)

The offense hasn’t slowed down for Pearl-Cohn. The Firebirds eclipsed the 50-point mark for the fifth time Friday night behind RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn and QB Jimmy Ferrell. Last week: Defeated Whites Creek 61-6. Next: Bye

10. Riverdale (6-1)

The Warriors have averaged more than 40 points over their last four games since suffering their only defeat – to No. 1 Blackman. Last week: Defeated Stewarts Creek 44-14. Next: Bye
