Grade: Senior
Position: Forward
Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 150 pounds

Athletic achievement: He scored 10 goals and passed for 13 assists this past season, leading the Cowboys (22-2-2) to the Class 5A state championship game. A two-time District 5-5A MVP, he was the 2013 Class 5A State Final MVP after Coppell won the state championship. A two-time Class 5A First Team All-State selection, he concluded his prep soccer career with 35 goals and 28 assists.

Academic excellence: Madden has maintained an A average.

Exemplary character: A peer tutor at Coppell High, he has volunteered locally as a youth mentor, a soccer coach and referee and as part of annual Thanksgiving and Christmas drives for the needy in association with his church youth group.


“Chris Madden is a dynamic attacking player that has the ability to be a difference-maker,” said John Gall, head coach of Marcus. “He has a great ability to beat players and create something out of nothing.”

THE FUTURE: Madden will play for Trinity College in San Antonio.
