Everyone keep an eye out for Hunter Strait. This is one bad young man, in the best sense of the word.
Strait, an eighth grader from Iowa, came through with the absolute ankle-breaking crossover you see in the video above during a ScoutsFocus camp earlier in August. The crossover probably would have worked had Strait sold it with less gusto, but he pushed it to the wall anyway and the result was an opposing defender sitting on the ground, very much against his better intentions.
A quick glance uncovers Strait’s Twitter profile, which makes it clear he’s every bit the wholesome midwestern teen from Iowa that one might expect. He even thanked the ScoutsFocus organizers for putting on the camp.
Some coach may very well be thanking him in the future if he keeps delivering moves like these.
