Cherokee senior guard Kendall Toineeta has committed to play college basketball for Lenoir-Rhyne.
Toineeta was the the Big Smoky Mountain Conference Player of the Year last season and earned All-WNC honors from the Citizen-Times after averaging 19.2 points, 6.7 assists, 6.2 rebounds and 4.8 steals per game for the Braves (25-4).
She was a N.C. Basketball Coaches Association all-district selection (second team) and has helped guide Cherokee to a sectional championship each of the past three years.
Toineeta scored her 1,000th career point last winter.
Former Braves standout Avery Mintz is a freshman at Lenoir-Rhyne.
