Danbury’s Bri Adams was crowned district champion in the girls high jump for District 1 on Wednesday as the Division III district track meet hosted by Fremont Ross started with girls running prelims and finals in the field events.
Adams jumped a winning height of 4 feet, 10 inches. Her teammate Erin Lavelle was fourth to also move on to next week’s regionals at Tiffin (May 28-30). The Lakers Tori Wright was third in the shot put (34-11.50) to qualify to regionals.
Woodmore’s Allie Wank, Sam Sedlmeier, Courtney Burner and Lily Rothert won the only running final, the 4 x 800, to advance.
