The Tri-Valley girls scored 51 points to place second behind champion Dover’s 97 in Saturday’s Coshocton Invitational.
Lauren Lynch won the 50 freestyle in a time of 30.29 and came in third in the 100 free, and Lexanne Lynch won the 100 backstroke in a school-record time of 1:14.54 and was third in the 100 butterfly to pace the Scottie girls.
They teamed with Elise Frueh and Menly Lutz to help the 200 and 400 free relays place second. Frueh came in third in the 200 free and fifth in the 500 free with a record time of 6:35.89.
The Tri-Valley boys were fifth (20) as the Tornadoes won with 106 points. Shiloh Jones came in second in the 200 free (2:13.65) and 500 free (6:06.44), setting school records in both events.
Evan Whyde took fifth in the 50 free, and he joined Whyde, Brock Loy and Hunter Faulhaber to finish fifth in the 200 free relay.
