ATLANTIC, Ia. – Lewis Central was held scoreless for the first four minutes of the fourth quarter as Dallas Center-Grimes advances to the state tournament after being eliminated in the regional finals a year ago.

Dani Heritage compiled 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Ballard 49, Grinnell 34

SAYDEL, Ia. – Gabie Doud led all scorers with 19 points to guide No. 7 Ballard. Emily Knittel had 14 points.

Deja Jackson paced Grinnell with 10 points.

Harlan 56, Boone 35

CARROLL, Ia. – Taylor Frederick scored 20 points as top-ranked Harlan (23-0) advanced to the Class 4-A state tournament for the second consecutive season.

The Cyclones lost to Cedar Rapids Xavier in the 2013 title game, 53-52. Serena Sandvig led Boone with 15 points.

Carlisle 57, Perry 50

NORWALK, Ia. – Sixth-ranked Carlisle (19-6) completed the state’s biggest turnaround this season (Wildcats were 1-22 a year ago).

GRIMES, Ia. – Damon Stubbs hit a 3-pointer with 3.3 seconds left and Keaton Van Soelen and Noah Hart recorded double-doubles to lift the Lions in a Class 2-A district final.

Logan Vander Platt added 14 points for Des Moines Christian (22-1).

Panorama, which finished at 13-11, was led by Luke Webner’s 16 points.
