After winning their first fast-pitch AAA softball state championship this year, two seniors plan to continue life on the diamond at Georgia Military College.
Kirsten Albright and Jade Moncrief made up a powerful pitching-catching duo.
Kirsten will leave Tattnall with a 53-4 record and an ERA of 1.02. She also has 20 career home runs and 115 RBIs.
Jade had eleven dingers this year and 23 in her four years as a Trojan. She has a career .391 and crossed the plate 139 times.
Both said they’re looking forward to making an impact with the Bulldogs.
“I had a couple of offers, but this one stuck out because the GMC coach, she cares about the player as an individual, and I just think she will be able to further my abilities in softball,” Kirsten said with a smile.
“Ending a season with a state championship is great, and being that it’s our first fast-pitch state championship, so it’s really great going from a state championship to signing to playing in college. It’s just a dream,” Jade said.
Both Kirsten and Jade have made the all-state softball squads for the last three years in a row.
