Sophomore Amir Tyler scored 12 points to lead the Lakewood boys basketball team past Monsignor Donovan, 58-50, in Shore Conference Class B South on Friday night.
Senior Ben Watson added 11 for the Piners (14-3, 11-0). Senior Daniel Niblack contributed 10.
Tom Cerami paced the Griffins (10-6, 6-4) with 15 points.
Lakewood sped to a 32-20 first-half lead as Tyler tossed in 11 points, including six in the opening quarter. Niblack scored eight in the first half, five in the second quarter. Watson hit for eight in the second half, four in the third quarter, in which Lakewood went ahead 44-32.
Teammate Naquese Joshua, a junior guard, netted four of his nine in the fourth quarter. Cerami put home 11 in the second half, including seven in the final eight minutes.
CENTRAL 80, JACKSON LIB. 61: Placing four scorers in double figures, the Golden Eagles (5-9, 4-6) topped the Lions (8-9, 5-6) in Class B South.
Junior Evan Lang netted 20. Junior John Forrester put home 17. Sophomore Riley Collins had 15 and senior Stefano Minale added 11.
Senior Mike Healy led Jackson Liberty with 24. Junior guard J’Shon Clark pumped in 15.
LACEY 54, BRICK 46: Led by junior Chris Iappico’s 16 points and senior Anthony Talarico’s 12, the Lions (8-7, 7-4) downed the Green Dragons (1-16, 0-11) in Class A South.
Iappico scored 10 in the first half in which the Lions went ahead 34-31. Brick junior Brian Oehme netted 14 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, blocked three shots and added three steals.
FREEHOLD 46, OCEAN 35: Freshman Elijah Barnes scored 19 points and added nine rebounds and six blocks, leading the Patriots (5-11, 3-8) past the Spartans (6-11, 2-8) in Class B North.
Glenn Bates added 19 points and nine rebounds. Chris Seager led Ocean with 13 points.
KEYPORT 76, HENRY HUDSON 60: Senior forward Alex Thomson’s 30 points, eight rebounds and five assists led the Red Raiders (11-4, 9-3) past the Admirals (6-11, 4-9) in Class B Central.
Thomson scored 12 in the first quarter in which Keyport led 17-6. Keyport sophomore guard Jeff Sheard scored five of his 13 points in the third quarter, powering the Red Raiders to a 59-44 lead. Senior guard Kevin Walsh added nine points and four steals.
Jaxon Terrell led the Admirals with 21 points. Senior forward-center Jack Link added 13.
TR SOUTH 59, TR EAST 43: The Indians went 14-for-17 from the foul line in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Raiders, 22-10, to pull away and record the win in a Class A South game.
Marquis Davis, who had a game-high 21 points, went 4-for-4 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Darrius Hart, who had 14 points, was 3-for-3 from the line in the final quarter and Kevin Morrison was 3-for-4 from the line and Khaleel Greene 4-for-6 from the line in the fourth quarter.
C.J. Hirschy led Toms River East with 13 points. He had eight in the second quarter, when the Raiders outscored the Indians, 14-12, to pull into a 22-22 halftime tie.
MANCHESTER 69, BARNEGAT 53: KaShaun Barnes’ 32 points led the Hawks to the win over the Bengals in a Class B South game.
Darius Barlow added 16 points.
Nick Camarato led Barnegat with 18 points and Kyle Morris added 14 points.
MANALAPAN 61, MIDD. NORTH 56: Kelly McNulty scored 18 points and Jessica Donnelly added 14 as the Braves (9-7) defeated the Lions (5-11) in a Class A South game and clinched a berth in the Shore Conference Tournament for the first time since the 2002-03 season, according to 17th-season head coach Scott Horton.
Hailee Hallard led Middletown North with 20 points.
RUMSON-FH 43, RARITAN 27: Junior Grace Stant’s 17 points led the Bulldogs to the win over the Rockets in a Class A Central game.
Stephanie Lesko added nine points for Rumson-Fair Haven.
Megan Quinn led Raritan with 14 points.
TR SOUTH 47, TR EAST 36: Victoria Alvarez scored 16 points to move within five of 1,000 points for her career as the Indians (12-4, 10-2) defeated the Raiders (7-8, 6-5) in a Class A South game.
Andrea Eckholt scored 10 points for Toms River South.
SOUTHERN 57, BRICK MEMORIAL 41: Tierney Goetz’s 26 points led the Rams (12-2) to a win over the Mustangs (10-7) in a Class A South game.
ST. ROSE 62, MATER DEI 39: Cindy Napolitano set the school-record for 3-pointers in a career with 174 and had 14 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Purple Roses defeated the Seraphs in a Class B Central game.
Kim Hughes Bennett held the school record for 3-pointers in a career with 173.
Kat Phipps led St. Rose with 17 points.
FREEHOLD 34, OCEAN 22: Rebecca Cobb scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the first quarter as the Colonials built a 12-4 lead and went on to the win in a Class B Central game.
Ocean’s Danielle DeFillippo led all scorers with 17 points.
CENTRAL 62, JACKSON LIBERTY 28: The Golden Eagles had 11 3-pointers, including three each by Brianne Allender and Ashley Marino, in their win over the Lions in a Class B South game.
Katelyn Kuster led Central with 18 points. Allender added 13 points.

OCEAN 9, HAMILTON EAST 2: Andrew Schulz and Matt Schulz each scored two goals and assisted on four others, David Newcomb scored two goals and assisted on three others and Michael Steer also scored two goals as Ocean defeated Hamilton East in a nonconference game.
