Rodrigo Blankenship

Name: Rodrigo Blankenship
Position: Kicker
School: Sprayberry High (Marietta, Ga.)
Height, weight: 6-foot-1, 190 pounds

Why he’s an All-American: As a sophomore transfer to Sprayberry, Blankenship accumulated 8 field goals and 55 points by the end of the season, when he was named to the All-Region team. Blankenship’s 14 field goals, 73 points and 31 extra points as a junior earned him the title of Punter of the Year by the Cobb County Touchdown Club.

What else you should know: Blankenship became one of two players to be named an All-American in Sprayberry football’s 58-year history. Though Blankenship has yet to commit — he holds offers from Cornell, Wofford, Davidson and Army— he aims to compete in college like his father, Ken Blankenship, who played football at Florida from 1967-69.
