Elizabethtown Class of 2016 forward Erin Boley, the No. 8 girls’ basketball prospect nationally by ESPN.com, has trimmed her recruiting list of seven powerhouses, including Louisville and Kentucky.
The 6-foot-2 Boley is down to U of L, UK and, in alphabetical order, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, according to the Twitter account of her travel club, Kentucky Premier.
Boley received the scholarship offer from Notre Dame just last week, and schools on her list finished Nos. 1 (UConn), 2 (Notre Dame), 3 (Stanford), 5 (U of L), 8 (Tennessee) and 11 (UK) in the final coaches’ Top 25. (Vandy wasn’t ranked.)
In all, she has scholarship offers from 23 teams that were ranked at the end of the year, lacking only No. 4 Maryland and No. 6 Baylor.
Boley averaged 20.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore in helping E’town to a state runner-up finish. She shot 54.3 percent from the floor, including 43.9 percent from 3-point range (43 of 98), and 84.6 percent at the free-throw line.
