JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The University Christian Fightin’ Christians are in the FHSAA softball regional semifinals for the first time in school history.

Head Coach Chuck Roberts, who is in his second season at University Christian says the fans at the school have been great throughout the team’s postseason run.

Coach Roberts team is led by his daughter, senior shortstop Heather Roberts, who leads the team in all of the major offensive categories.

Roberts says she never imagined that the Fightin’ Christians would make this deep of a run into the playoffs.

University Christian, a team that’s looking to garner some respect will face Mount Dora Bible Tuesday night at home at 7 p.m.
