Unreal poster dunk from the Northwest

By now, everyone has seen the incredible highlight reel slam from Kwe Parker. It’s almost certainly the most surreal prep slam that we’ve seen all year, but it isn’t the only one of note. In fact, it wasn’t the only wild slam of the weekend. Just check out this jam from DeJounte Murray.

If you aren’t aquainted with him yet, Murray is a rising senior at Seattle power Rainier Beach and competes for the Northwest Xpress AAU squad. He recenly committed to attend the University of Washington, but he isn’t done with his prep hoops career yet. That was made clear in the game you see above, where he threw down one of the great poster jams you’ll ever see during the championship game of the Rose City Showcase.

Northwest Xpress won the game, and the tournament as a result, but that hardly would have mattered after that dunk. The slam quite literally brought the game to a halt, at least temporarily, and there was no turning back.
