Updated District 7-AAA basketball standings



The Blackman girls and Siegel boys basketball teams each lead the District 7-AAA standings following Tuesday night’s contests.

Blackman, which is ranked second in this week’s Associated Press Class AAA statewide poll, improved to 15-2 overall, 3-0 in 7-AAA with a win over Smyrna on Tuesday. Riverdale, which is ranked third in the AP poll, is 13-3, 2-0. The two girls basketball powers meet at 6 p.m. Friday at Blackman.

Siegel (14-0, 2-0) is the lone unbeaten team remaining in The DNJ’s coverage area. The Stars were off Tuesday night, but play Oakland on Friday and Wilson Central on Saturday. The Wilson Central game is a contest that had been postponed from earlier this season.
